Culinary Services

Margaret Bieber is the Catering Operations Coordinator with Culinary Services at the University of
Saskatchewan, where she brings decades of experience, leadership, and a passion for exceptional
food experiences.

Raised on a mixed farm in Wolseley, Saskatchewan, Margaret developed an early appreciation for
locally sourced food, hands-on work, and the connection between food and community. She went
on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Saskatchewan, where her
professional journey with campus food services first began.

Since joining the team, Margaret has built extensive experience across all areas of culinary
operations-from kitchen production to administrative leadership-before stepping into her current
role in 2008. Her career has been marked by memorable moments, from coordinating emergency
response meals and contributing to the renovation of Marquis Hall to delivering high-profile USask
events for dignitaries such as Prime Ministers, members of the Royal Family, and sports
organizations, including the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Known for her collaborative leadership style, Margaret is passionate about mentoring team members
and fostering a culture of excellence. She takes pride in creating memorable dining experiences that
reflect quality, care, and community connection.

Outside of work, Margaret enjoys staying active and prioritizing wellness, while also supporting local
food and Saskatchewan agriculture, and values time spent with family and friends.
